Ценная бумага, выпускаемая для продажи тем физическим и юридическим лицам, которые обеспечивают долгосрочное финансирование акционерной компании. Владельцы обыкновенных акций имеют право на часть чистой прибыли компании в виде дивидендов. В случае банкротства компании они могут претендовать на активы, оставшиеся после погашения всех долгов и оплаты требований держателей привилегированных акций. Они также имеют право голоса на ежегодном общем собрании компании пропорционально величине своего пакета акций. Ср.: Preference share. См. также Share capital. (US=Common stock).
